Kendriya Vidyalaya Thalassery , a civil sector Vidyalaya ,right from the day of its inception is tirelessly striving to impart quality education and making incessant efforts for the all round and harmonious development of its students.The Vidyalaya is keen in accomplishing its goal of academic exellence and fostering the the true spirit of patriotism and harmony .
The Vidyalaya at present has a students strength of 263 and a staff strength of 13 ,comprising of permanent,deputed and contractual staff. The Vidyalaya is at present functioning in a temporary building provided by the sponsoring agency and is situated at Kundoormala, Ponniam west,Thalassery. The nearest railway station is the Thalassery Railway Station about 10 kms from the Vidyalaya.The nearest airport is the Kozhikode International Airport which is about 103 kms away
The Vidyalaya hopes to grow in leaps and bounds in the coming years with its deep commitment and devotion in nurturing and raising a generation of responsible and dedicated citizens.

Kendriya Vidyalaya Thalassery is located in the political and cultural capital of Malabar , the palm fringed terrain of Thalassery with its scenic coastline and orange hued hills .This heritage city, famous for its cake ,cricket and circus ,was a centre of learning during the colonial era. Adding to its splendour and glory of this historical city , Kendriya Vidyalaya Thalassery commenced functioning from 1st August 2011.
